N4CWSN is a free service of Connecticut Domestics LLC, a full service Nanny placement agency. We intend to utilize the agency to help families with Special Needs Children find experienced and educated childcare for their family while we pick up all of the expenses involved in the search and interviewing process.

As well as providing Nannies with Special Needs experience, we plan on putting together the largest and most comprehensive database for Families dealing with Special Needs throughout the entire United States.

Not only do we plan to cover Schools, Therapists, Education centers, Testing, Support groups, Homeschooling, Doctors, Camps, Vacations, to name but a few, we also intend to have interviews with the owners of each establishment for you to view on video. This will give you an insight to their thoughts on the service they offer and how it could benefit your child.

This is a massive project and may take months, even years to build, we will be hoping that volunteers all over the U.S.A. will become our eyes and ears and volunteer to help provide these interviews and become part of something really big.

A diagnosis doesn't change your child, it explains your child. It may be scary or hard to accept, but the right diagnosis can lead you to information, therapy, technology and services that can greatly improve the quality of life for your child and your family.

There are too many categories of special needs to list and we would not want to miss anyone from the list unintentionally. For this reason N4CWSN and Connecticut Domestics is willing to help any family that has been given a diagnosis by a trained professional.

Having a caregiver in your home to help with the daily routines and responsibilities associated with special needs is only a small part step towards raising a special needs child but is one that we can help to provide. If we can save you time & money by finding an educated, experienced care giver for your family then we will know that we did a good thing. If we all do good things, great things will happen!

Why we do this

As a family who has a child with Autism, finding help especially for our son was a very daunting prospect. Our previous Nanny had been working for our friends and we knew her very well before she came to us. Having finished her degree she was ready to go into full time work. I looked on the Autism speaks website and saw a link to Gary James company, Connecticut domestics and Nannies 4 children with special needs. It is difficult to put into words the relief I felt having spoken to him. To find someone who truly understands what it takes to find the right person, with the necessary skill set and personality for a particular family. Our special children are so precious and vulnerable, to have a service such as his, that carefully vets applicants and works in such close contact with family to enable them to find a great match is amazing. There are so many families like ourselves that would benefit from access to this resource.

The fact that this was also done at no cost to us was something we never expected but truly appreciate as so many families, we have a huge number of expenses relating to our sons therapy. The service itself has been second to none, we were sent in-depth details of all possible applicants and also video's of interviews that we could all view as a family. This made the process so easy and we were able to refine our requirements as we went along, through constant communication. It was invaluable to have the guidance of someone who has worked in this field for along time but who also had direct experience of special need children and what the care entails.

As I said previously I find it hard to put into words the gratitude we feel, that we are not alone and that there are such wonderful people, who really want to see our children in the best possible hands. We have just found a wonderful match for our family, with great qualifications and personality. I would recommend this service to anyone at all that is looking for help for their family. Nannies that have experience with Special needs children are usually paid a little more than nannies that do not. The average hourly wage for a special needs nanny ranges from $17 -$30 an hour depending on their experience and qualifications. The service we offer is free, but please keep in mind that for us to start a search for a special needs nanny, you must be okay with the wage bracket listed above.
